Well, my swing arm bolt is still froze after about 2 gallons of penetrating oil, but Im gonna go after it again tonight with a bigger hammer
I need help with a color scheme though. Heres the ideas I have so far:
Fenders: the normal red Maiers
Rims: polished aluminum
Hubs: a metallic blue to match t he blue CEET cover
Frame: I was thinking about the shade of yellow that is nearly identical to the color Stanley tools uses
swingarm: no idea lol
tank: no idea
~or~
Fenders: same as above
Rims:same as above
hubs:gloss black???
frame: gloss black
tank: gloss black
swing arm: no idea
~or~
back to original..but iono :p
I am open to ideas for colors...if you got one lemme know

I like this, but you would have to get black plastics.
Lime Green Frame
Black Plastics
Black tank
Chrome Swingarm
Chrome hubs
Polished Wheels
Black Gripper Seat cover

I think the blue rims would look good if you used blue tires front and rear. :D
Keep the tank red, or red w/blue stripes :naughty:
Get a chrome MC guard and HL grill it will make the blue stand out even more.
Swingarm should be aluminum unless you have the money to chrome it.
Blue handle bars??????????????????? Maybe???????
Do the axle in red.
Polished gas cap.
Red grips.
Blue Handguards if you like that type of thing.
I'm still thinking, more may come to me......

Red rear plastics
Blue 85-86 front fender
Silver Frame
Blue swinger and hubs
blue and silver flamed tank over red
Number plate instead of headlight
Silver flamed (on blue) shock covers on forks with polished fork tubes
polished wheels
3" extended swinger (those things are way to short)
Original has been done to death. Make it your own!

Hmmm...I love all of these ideas and now many are coming to me lol.
I would love black plastics, but I cant find any let alone afford them unless someone is making them again.
DOES ANYONE KNOW if there are any companies who make white? I have looked and come up short.
I already run a number plate...hehe with # 666
I do need a new swinger, but I dont know anyone with an extended one for sale. Also, does anyone know where i can get bearings and bushings for it??
MAINE_TRIKER: whats a MC GUARD??..hehe, already got blue bars.
heres some more things I'm going to do:
polish gas cap, get a new grab bar (not sure what kind/style), make a custom taillight out of chopper maltese cross taillights (mine will have two and they will be side by side powered by LEDs :naughty: ) polish or chrome the forks, but mine are bent so I need new ones.
heres a pic of the color yellow I was thinking about..iono, i think it would look ok on mine too. ANYONE know the owner of this trike, I got the pic from 3ww..i love the lowness of it :naughty:

If you want an LED tail light you could just get one from a 450R, they also have a brake light built in.

hondatrikesrule22: I like the sound of that. But where do I get White plastics? If they are available, can I get an 85/86 front fender white too?
I was thinking kawasaki green frame and hubs with white tank and plastics and mean oldschool pinstriping on the take in the same grrrrreeen color. not sure about swinger though.

White and Black are available for your trike. Order them from James Lucky ATV Products to save you some cash.

MC guard is the front master cylinder guard. Dadsteck or dads on ebay and .org might have the complete swinger kit your looking for CHEAP! And as for your colors nothing beats the red, white and blue color schemes of the 350X and the 200X. :w00t:

All white concerning frame, plastics and lower fork legs. Either gold wheels with black hubs or aluminum jobs with red or blue hubs. A blue or red seat would look great too. I'm just crazy about white so when anyone asks that's my recommendation.
here is sort of an example...... http://www.3wheelerworldforums.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=8619
.........and NO, it's not hard to keep clean. At least I never had a problem with white.
Below is my CRF in a red, white & black theme. I can imagine yours simular to this scheme. Would be too coooool. :beer

MC = master cylinder, and a guard is a very good investment. Not to mention it looks cool.
The HL grills are also a good investment. There is a Hondaline one and some aftermaket ones. I have 1 Hondaline one and an aftermarket one here as well. Both are NOS. One is black and one (the aftermarket one) is chrome. The Hondaline one looks better in my (bias) oppinion, but I don't know if they also came in chrome. Might want to do your whole guard in chrome if you do go that route.
Then again, you are running a number plate so it doesn't make a bit of difference!!! :p

OH MAAAAN.... I dont know what to do know. Black and lots of chrome would make her look mean and stealthy but White fenders would look clean and sexy lol.
Yeah, I was thinking about a master cylinder guard.
WIll the 85-86 front fender from maier look weird. I mean if you look at it it looks as though it will "wrap" partially arond the forks. Anyone have a pic...for that matter: FIRECAT i believe you have a black air cooler..got any pics??
Guess it back to the drawing board for colors, but now im on a mission to get a swinger and all the bearings, bushings ect.
Chrisr200x: Im gona give give em a hollar

I like your idea of black frame and tank, with white or red (or blue) plastics. Look at Trolls' black and silver, it really sticks out in a sea of red and white.

Well, I have been gone the past day or so but I have come to my conclusion on color scheme:
Gloss Black Tank (with flames or pinstripes...not sure on color for either LOL)
Gloss Black frame
Gloss black swinger (hopefully aftermarket) with the name of manufactuerers name in same color as the tank stripes/flames)
Gloss Black hubs
polished aluminum rims
Black seat
Black Maiers and an 85-86 up front
Stainless steel mounting hardware
TROLL: are those the stock hubs on that cooleR?? BTW: I like that silver...does it have a special name or number??

not to change the subject but is an 84 watercooled or still air cooled?? heres what i plan on doing if i get the money and time and if i get the 84 r ...
frame: gloss blue
plastics: gloss white
tank: gloss blue
tank shrouds: gloss white
swinger: gloss white
hubs: gloss blue
handle bars: glosswhite
forks: chrome or polished
seat: the white and blue striped ones like on ebay
hl and mc gaurd: chrome
i think white and blue looks dam good together..the only problem is gonna be my luck and end up having some kind of oil leak and it running all over the white...makes it look like crao no matter how much you try and wipe it off or clean it

84 is air yet. 85 is the first water pumper.
LOL...thats the reason I am not using white plastics because she spits a bit of oil out. Your idea however, sounds killer
