185S pull starter, quick question

i have an 83 185S and it doesn't have any part of the recoil in it, just the rod that sticks out and the outside, my question is, is this all i need to make a complete recoil: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&item=4558654097&category=43977&sspagename=WDVW. Or is there more pieces that i need to this? also if this is not right, does anyone have a recoil that would fit for sale? thanks

That looks pretty complete to me. it says recoil spring included but it's hard to tell from the pics.. but that's the whole getup as long as you have the outer cage.

outer cage? is that the outside cover where it should say Honda and where the rope goes through the top?

yep.. as long as you got that part in good condition.. what's in that picture pretty much gives you everything else.

3 metal wire things
cover plate.
rope.

Check www.partsfish.com and compare the diagram to that picture.. looks like everything is there.

a tad expensive but at least you know it will work when you put it together.. vs buying one on e-bay used and 50 50 chance it's toast within not long anyways.
