Just got a 1984 200 Big Red PICS :)

Welp I have finally broken my streak with SXs and now have a big red. Got it for $500 from a neighbor. Runs good, looks good, new air filter just could use a new plug. I'll post some pics tomorrow of it in the parade. I got some questions about it though.

1. It says its a shaft drive, now does it also need tranny fluid like my SXs?
2. ok on the carb there is a screw on the right hidden by the plastics and a screw on the bottom front of the carv. Are these the a/f screw and idle screw?
3. What like to go on these things? or are they bulletproof like the SXs? :w00t:
4. this is my first non rear suspension trike. Anything I need to watch out for? Right now just putting around it doesnt seem to handle much different from the SX.
5. How fast can these things go? 45 mph?

yep.. rear end oil same as SX.

Good luck with the rear brakes on this thing.. they are a chore to open up, but are better than the SX's at keeping water out.

the horizontal screw on the side is the idle screw

the vertical one is the air/fuel

congrats on the new bike!
big reds are one of the most reliable bikes around, i rode one around on trails in michigan, it was a blast. id say they hit around mid 40's, i like the hi & low tranny.
