ok i own a 85 350x that had a hole in the stator cover i got lazy and just duck taped it and well it ran good for 2 days and then i went to start it there is no spark coming out of the stator but when i drag it the lights will turn on???? is there suposed to be like die electric grease in there or oil? and it all just ran out and that is why it wont spark? if any one knows what my problem is please reply.
Im thinking you got some mostiure in there and some rust on the flywheel/stator assemblt possibly? or in a connection in there, you should use dialectric silicone on every wiring connection...good stuff

yea i took it a part and cleaned i wiped the grease off the flywheel and bruched the rust off and still nothing do i need di elc grease on the flywheel??
no greese on the flywheel, break out the ohms meter and start testing, a way to see if your flywheel/stator is still good by cheetin is unplug the wires that come out of the case, hold one at a time and have someone kick the crap out of the bike, you should geta zap from each one normally,,,,or 2,,,,,,,,or you can ohm it out by takin the stator out and testing the windings..........
