I won them (2 tires & wheels) and curious if anyone has them or HAD them at one time since they stopped making them many moons ago.
They "look" to be in perfect shape and still not sure if both tire and wheel is DC brand. Quite sure at least the tires are though.
It's over (newly listed) on the ebay forum with a pic of them.

I've got a set of 22" DC Spider Tracs and they clearly say "Dick Cepek" on the sidewall.

So I take it they must be very old then. Do you use them?

Spider tracs are still made, but not by Cepek. Someone else must have gotten the mold and there is another company making them (don't remember who). I ain't that old (28) and I remember seeing Cepeks for sale when I was a teenager. Back then it seemed like every other quad I saw had a set. Last I saw Cepek tires available new was about 10 years ago. Not exactly sure when they stopped making them though.

Cepek went under in 02. Mickey thompson bought out the truck tire equip, and a couple other unknown companies bought the ATV and Buggie tire equip. I've still got a set of Cepek paddles from the late 80's. They've always been kept indoors and, believe it or not, No Cracking or Spliting!

Well I picked the pair up. The wheels are not DC but the tires are. Seems equivelent to turf tamers I guess except I don't thing tamers have the staggered knobs on edge, not sure though.
100% tread for sure and the wheels are absolutly perfect. The tires were used but looks (just a guess) to be maybe one ride on them and thats about it.

Huffa I have a set of Dick Cepek Spideys from 1987. They still have decent tread but were starting to crack a little, I replaced them with a set of Vamps a while back. They held up very well but I never ran them on blacktop. If I pick up another trike I may put them back into service.

If they are starting to dryrot and crack I would recommend you not using them anymore. I know its hard to let go sometimes :naughty:

............or keep them as a collecter item ?
I'm going to put mine on the 225 that will most likely just be used in my yard and back field so they don't wear much.

I thought about using them for end tables in my basement. :) But with the 9" center it wouldn't hold many beers! :beer :naughty:
