View Full Version : YT 175J Clutch Adj. ???

Just picked up a YT 175 & need to know how to adjust the clutch. My manual is on the way but does anyone know how to adjust these clutches? I can't find an external adj. screw / lock nut anywhere on it.

The only thing I remember about mine was that It slipped BAD. I replaced the discs, still slipped BAD. A spring change was all it took to fix it. Probably just needs a rebuild, it is a 22 year old clutch.

No slippage here, it was dragging but after getting off my ***** & checking into it, I found the adj. mech. Thought it would have been external like my YTMs are.Had to remove the clutch cover, tightened it up, works great now.
