I can get a '83 or '84 200 big red. I hopped on it and shifted through its gears and I was surprised to learn they were all down, same was for the trx 200sx he had. I have never heard of a honda with all of its gears down, Is that how all the early ones were?

Yup, I'm sure all the earlier non-sport tikes were that way. Every time I hope on the 200e, I go to shift and shift the wrong way!

My 200es used to shift up. There was/is always speculation as to why my 200es used to shift up instead of down. This is the first case on a 200es I have heard that it shifted up. Must be an Aussie thing

I have had a couple 84 200es, both shift down. I like it better.
