I would like to see some aftermarket swingarms and the Brand Name. I really dont know anything about Three Wheeler Aftermarket Swingarms. It seems to be the most sought after Part for a Sport Trike.
Im looking for an Aftermarket Extended Swingarm for my Tecate and I think the stock swinger is like 17" so I would like an extra 2". How hard is it to find a swingarm for a 84-85 Tecate?

these are pretty shatty edited pictures put these are a few pics of my PK swinger i got off ebay for $180. I really haven't done a hardcore measurement on it but it's either 2.5" or 3" over stock. it uses all the factory suspension linkages for the 83-84 250R's

Here is a PK(orange/red) and a Westcoast(white). The PK is a +1 and the Westcoast is a +2. I have the PK powdercoated to the factory color and put it on my flat track 250r now.

This evening I'll post up some pics of 84/85 KXT WestCoast swingarms I used to have and the WestCoast on my Tri-Z.
You might want to look into an 86 KXT swingarm. They are aluminum and I think they are an inch or two longer than stock 84/85 swingarms. I'm pretty sure the 84/85 carrier will bolt in. If not you can run the whole carrier, axle and hub assembly. remember you can't use 84/85 wheel hubs on an 86 axle, but 86 and 85 hubs are the same bolt circle so you can get there. And probably get there faster and cheaper than hunting up an aftermarket swingarm. I know there's a couple guys on here that have done this.

there is my 86/87 t3 calfab, I have no clue how much extended it is, I haven't measured it yet.
http://img201.echo.cx/img201/7931/willsr0dl.jpg
on this R I have a stock length calfab, I don't have any good pics of it yet, I'll take a better pic of the backend of it later on, of course there is one on ebay right now, but mine is made alot different than it is, I suppose because it's an 85, and mine is for a 86 they changed the shock mount design some, and strengthened it alot.
As to your question, tons of companies made swingers for trikes back in the day, westcoast, calfab, p-k, champion, trinity, durablue, dico, dg, franks, white brothers, those are a few I can think of right off the top of my head. Out of those, the westcoasts and franks seem to be alot more common for tecates. I know someone selling a westcoast for a 84/85 t3 in fact. :D

Heres the westcoast i just sold, its for an 81/2 R
Hey Pumper, I'll trade you my Tri-Z for that KXT Cal-Fab.
Well, maybe not. :p

LOL jeb, hey I wasn meaning to tell you, on your Triz you said you wanted a 10" front rim setup. What is the bolt pattern on the 86 triz front rim? The honda pattern is 4 on 170, if the 86 triz is that size or smaller, you could have douglas custom make a rim. That's what I'm going to have to do for mine because the mitchell I've got on there now is bent slightly. If they are custom drilling it, might as well be whatever pattern you need. I think they charge about 50 bucks, then a 30 dollar custom fee.

Hey Pumper, I took this pic right after that other one. It shows how beefy that calfab is. Also shows a bunch of other goodies on your bike.
http://img7.echo.cx/img7/4738/willsr29mj.jpg
I have more pics of it, I took like 10 or so when I first saw it, and it was clean... Problem is I cant find them right now.
I always liked the way CAL-FAB covered all the air gaps in the swingarms and ran the ribs back from the linkage mounts.
Pumper, all that 250R needs is my R's screen number plate on it. (which is just like ScottZJ's)!
Now I'll gladly trade you the number plate for the KXT Cal-Fab! ;)
I think my Z would be cool mixed in the pics with you guy's race replica Rs.
Thanks for the tip on the rim. I think though, 85 & 86 Tri-Z front hub bolt circle is somewhat bigger than the Honda's. The key is if the hub will fit in the bell of a 10" rim.
Does anybody know if Douglas will anodize for you too?

Haha jeb, I've got a numberplate just ilke scottzjs' it had one little cracked place but it's plastic welded where you can't hardly tell. I like the look of that ufo plate better. The only place I've seen others is in the old race pics in my old mags. But I do think the ones like you and scott have look better than the maiers do.

Thanks for the info, that 86 Calfab that 86Waterpumper has is cool. I would like to see the top of it to see how its shaped. I also would be interested in knowing how much you friend wants to sell his swinger for. Im looking for 2" extension because it seems thats all I need for where I ride.
I take it all of these swingarms go for big bucks.

I have a rare aftermarket ATC 90/110 swingarm. From the best of my knowledga it bolts up to a xr 50. Can we say, "conversion"? I am not sure if this post was for aftermarket Tecate swingers or all aftermarket swingers, but I figured I would post it anyway. Can someone resize the pic for me? Thanks.
BTW, it is for sale.

Man that pic must be small ;) because I cant see it. :D
It was more to see the Different Aftermarket Swingers and how they were built. I would like to see a Bills Swinger. I believe ange has one. I would love to find one of those, they are so cool looking.
Mostly I saw Honda Swingarms, and a Cal Fab that looked pretty nice and solid. I saw a weird weld pattern on the top of it, being an old welder I was just curious. Im sure its for strength, or maybe looks.
WaterPumper PM me if you havnt been bombarded with PM's for that Swinger for sale. I need one bad.
Anyhow my Clutch Crapped out and Slips and the Rear Shock that got Rebuilt doesnt take a Charge and I cant find my Headlight, which I think is a Honda one. I got one Rubber Insert but I need the other one to install the Headlight. So im putting up the Tecate till next Summer, and I hope by then she will be finished. Of course a Vented Plate is allso in order but hell I dont even work. Thats why its going on 9 years for this damn Tecate.

On top is a stock 200x, on the bottom is a +2 westcoast.
Here's some WestCoast Pics. Also a Dura-Blue on an 86 Tecate. The numbered pics on the WestCoasts are: 3=86 KXT, 2= 84/85 KXT, 1=Tri-Z.
In other pic all the others are various Honda Flavors. Also a pic of the west coast off my 84 I restored a while back. I was searching for a pic of my NOS kxt westcoast but can't locate it. In the pics, #2 was mine and #1 is on my Z as we speak.

Does anyone want to sell me a 2" Extended swinger for my Tecate? Plz

Could I possibly see some more pics of the CalFab Tecate Swinger. It looks to have a weird angled ridge that runs down from the dogbone support. Is it solid or open like the PK and Westcoast?
Cal-Fabs are solid behind the dog-bone mount. That's the only pic I have of a Dura Blue Swingarm.

I couldnt post the other pic because it was too large. This one is a +2. The one I built for my drag Trike is a +7 or 8. The pics are kinda crappy, it looks alot nicer in person.

a stock 86 or 87 t3 swingarm is 2 inches longer than the 84 and 85 t3's are and they are alumnium and alot tougher. they will bolt right up except the shock linckage on the 84/85's is a bit wider and needs alittle craftyness to get to work. here is a pic of the 85 swinger i extended 8 inches and put on my 86 t3.

After market Swing Arms. Heres my Cal Fab after It was polished and on my Trike for a couple of years Before and after pics. Bought it for $140 and its the best deal I ever got on E-Bay. I was suprised everyone missed it when it was on E-Bay all those years ago.:naughty:
A shame to see my parts rusting from non use. Thats almost $200 in sprokets and chain rusting there with only 5 miles on them.
