Anyone know what the change was from 85 - 86 & 87?

Part #'s are different and am curious if this one here would fit my 85?

I don't need one but mine has to be painted for sure and thought if this went cheap enough (since the paint looks good) it might be another route to take if it will bolt right on.

I don't know how to print the schmatic picture to compare the years on http://www.windowshopnepa.com/findpartsfor/honda/atv-atc-parts.htm (bike bandit) or I would.

I believe any year SX swinger will fit any other year but you have to swap entire assemblies (swinger, gear, axle tube extensions & all)
Dirtcrasher is great on the SX tech, maybe he can help.

Yep, any year fits any year frame. 86 and 87 are identical with the all so sweet enclosed rear brake drum - these are the only rear ends I run on both my 85 and 87. IMO the 85 rear ends are not very desirable because the brakes constantly need attention. In your case though I'd look for a complete assembley with all the brake parts because I don't see them too often and they are hard to find, then just put your diff in there. You cannot put this on your 85 with the 85 brake parts. The rear brake cables also change from 85 to 86/87.
