anything is possible, i have been thinking the same. Main problem is nitro love high compression and that means very hard on the bottom side of the motor. Not sure if it will hold up for long. Other than that it is possible to do start in small percents like 10-15 and work your way up tell you are happy.
PS you need special fuel licens in my state to buy more than 1 gal

i was thinkin somewhere around 5-10%.my motor will probably have around 190lbs of compression when built. if there is a law about how much i can buy i will just get a few different people to buy but i think if you only run 5-10% you won't need more than 1 gallon

Yes it is possible. But it is very hard to tune, and very extensive carb work and mods are required. Anytime the humidity changes, temp changes you will need to re jet. It must be run with alcohol, because it burns hot. I have played with it in my drag Trike a few years ago and it was a pain to keep it running right, it was super sensitive to the weather. When you do get it dialed in it really has a lot of pull, but I have seen a few motors with the bottom end blown out. Anyway thats just my experience, Good Luck.

you could make an injector system using a dial-a-jet. run a seperate tank with the dial a jet connected to it.

I have ran my 2stroke lawn mower on the nitro fuel that i use in my rc cars . its 20% nitro and 16% oil , it worked fine and it had alittle more power and my brother used some in his bigred mixed with gas . but it cost 35$ a gallon

with everyone talking about blowing out the bottom end i will probably just run methanol or vp racing gt plus

with 190 lbs of compression you dont need any nitro! you can get away on pump gas sometimes.

maybe sp but i'm looking for power. when my motor was running last time i could stand on the kick starter for about 4 seconds before it would turn over and it is gonna have more compression this time.

with 190 lbs of compression you could stand on the kick lever? i cant stand on mine, and it has 215 lbs of compression....the only motor i have seen be able to do that was a cr500 i had a couple years ago.....and it sucked.

i'm just guessing at the compression i have never tested it. i only weigh 145lbs. but maybe it is putting out than 200lbs when i get it built i'll just have to see

55 gallon drum in wa runs right at 1000.00 dollers (nhra nitro not 99.9%) . is your r air cooled if so i would not do it becouse you build a ton of heat with the power you get is 300 ft is all you ride you MIGHT be ok ?

nitro really isnt worth it, run 116 and a mayb a hit of spray and you would be better off in the long run... nirto is expensive and can be beat with the right set up
