I changed my oil and i dont know if it was the oil or what but after ridind for a bit i started hearing this ziiiiing sound in my engine when i rev up, did i use the wrong oil?? or is could that be something else?? i used castrol 10-40w. and i took my dx out to my friends house and he has a lot of straight dirt roads so i was able to max the thing out, and it seems like it take a long time to rev up the 4th gear and when i hit 5th it just does work so load but dont gain any more speed at all.. are all dx's like that?? and where can i find a diagram of what my carb should look like inside?? cuase maybe for somereason i am missing something else???

Thanks

i know that most people use 10w-30 in the winter because it is thinner....maybe the oil is to thick for the temperature.....?

Paul, I would reccomend you get a Haynes manual. I got one for my YTM200(also covers 225DX and others) and it has all you need to know on how to fix your trike.

Here's a link to a Haynes for CHEAP(still brand new).

Or, if Clymer is your thing:

Shipping is only 3.95, so you can't complain about that either.
