I got a very minty 85 200X from a customer of mine. Original, one owner machine with all original everything, incl. tires, tool kit w/tools, all decals intact, seat perfect. It was sitting in a barn for years, started first try! I am at work with it now, but will post some pics up later. Looks to be a very very low hour machine. He said he "never rode it much", and it looks it. :w00t:

Did I mention it was FREE??

Nice find Trikeaholic.Nothing better than free.A good cleaning and degreasing and that will look mint. Are you taking that to haspin? I bet I could clean the carbon out of it for you.Billy did say he wanted me on a 200x so the mx races would be fair this time :) good luck with it,and keep it mint.

While not mint by any means it's darn nice for free. I'd say it deserves a better bath though being that you got it for free but then I'm sure you were anxious to post it also and are planning to, right?

So whats 1st on the "fix" agenda?

dude, I just unloaded it out of my truck, and now Im off to job number two. It has been sitting uncovered in a barn for around 10 years, so I dont think its that dirty. LOL. First thing is a complete fluid change, chain replacement and general wash and lube, wich I will probably get to after trikefest. Today was the first daylight this thing saw in a while. The previous owner said he hasnt ridden it since 92 or something. from the time I first posted to now is as long as Ive owned it.

Geez... some people have all the luck. if you get your camera fixed do you think I can get a closeup shot of the front mc guard. I need to know how it mounts up. Is it just one bolt that holds it on. Thanks

How can I put this............................NOPE! LOL

If you look PAST the 10 years of dust and grime, you can plainly see an unmolested, low hour original machine. It even has the factory grips! This is as close to a brand new trike I personally have EVER seen in person and probably never will find another to see in person.

Dammit!

That's how I felt when I saw the X I have now. Had to have it. Hope I don't have to sell it.

Mine was cleaner but not as original. Had some goofy BMX bike grips on it and a really bad paint job on the engine and footpegs. Not to mention the Supertrapp pipe (but I liked that). Haven't really done much with mine yet. Red Kote'd the tank and put some new Maier rear fenders on it but that's it. Got plans but I'm not doing much else until I'm sure I can keep it.

I just found out last week that my X even has a title. Just picked it up the other day. :)

I said myself it was darn nice too. When he said minty I guess he means it has the capability to look mint. I can see the engine and some small parts needs painting or at the very least a good cleaning up.

It IS VERY nice . Let me see some close up's though, thats when you see the true condition of it.

My own trike I just got looks great but every single painted part needs repainting if I took close up shots of it.

That's the main point I'm making I guess, that looks can be deceiving. I'm natured that way too, to find every detail that needs attention, so mint to someone else might not be mint to me what so ever.

Mechanical wise it looks totaly solid and seems to have no parts missing at all.

A great deal for sure.

What a PIECE .. of junk.

With all that rust you actually expect it to hold together? that enourmous crack in the front fender isnt gonna help block the mud much. I also see the stickers peeling, and the tires are not 100% tread.

hahaha...

But seriously, you can tell that thing has sat awhile, very cool.
