Was just on .org and this was brought up... ( i'm put-put over there ) .
On the 200 models with the rubber boot 10 and 14mm bolts....
The 10 mm bolt is mainly used for engine assembly... the 14mm bolt actually moves the tensioner.
By threading the 14mm bolt IN ( clockwise ) you are loosening the chain.
by threading the 14mm bolt OUT ( counterclockwise ) the tensioner mechanism permits more leverage on the spring assembly that TIGHTENS your chain !!!!
when i had my Big Red i could never figure that out.. and the clymer does not say this......
