Anyone know anything about this trike? Does it have a clutch, 3 or 5 gears? I have it in the back of my fathers truck waiting to get fixed, just trying to find some stuff out about it before I get it working. Anyone know of any pictures of this? Hard to find some :(

The clutch is automatic. You wont find most of the gears un less the engines running 1down up twice for second. six volt I would take pictures but currently neither of mine are recognizable (in rebuilding stages) thought i was done but ran into more problems there should be some pics in the brochure section.

Ok, I seen a brochure for a 84' tri moto 125, but it was a 125L and it had a clutch and 5 gears. So it got me thinking. What would be the difference?

There is no difference, all 125's have auto clutch, my 1982 is neutral then 5 up.

Well, the 1984 tri-moto 125L has a clutch and 5 gears, it says on the brochure on the site.

no the 125 is auto clutch 2 stroke and you go up to up shift and down to down shift very simple

Must be they changed the tranny in 82 because my 80 and 81 are one down then up is neutral up again for second and the rest.

Trimoto all yt125's have clutches but they are auto not manual. Atcman has an auto clutch. just cause he doesn't have a lever for manual doesn't mean he doesn't have a clutch. Without a clutch how do you think you shift a mechanical transmission.

to get a idea on the year iff it doesn't have a shround around the headlight and has a yamaha sticker below it its and 80 if it has a shroud its 81 or newer but if theres a series of louvers in the plastic near the engine its 82 or newer. To answer you question about shifting without a clutch it can be done I almost never user the clutch on bike it was designed not to all the gears are syncronized and it shifts better without the clutch
