I am planning on replacing a few things on my 86 Z. I am replacing some of the gaskets, water pump seal and gasket(never been replaced), and thinking about the clutch if it is a problem. When I am shifting, the gears are to easy to go in and out of as if you don't have to use alot of force. And when holding in the clutch lever while trying to kick it in gear, the bike pulls forward.
When I rebuilt the top end, the crank had really no play at all. I just want to know if it could be the bottom end bearings, tranny, or clutch? Since I am gonna be doing this overhaul, I want to make sure I don't have to do it twice.
Also, I am looking for front wheel bearings, fork seals, front tire, 86 intake tube(from carb to airbox), and a DG silencer. I will probably order the wheel bearings, fork seals, and DG silencer from Dennis Kirk if no one has any used or extras. Well I think that is the main things I need to replace. If anyone has any other suggestions that I should replace. Throw them at me.
