On a clutch, how tight are the 6 bolts on the outside of it supposed to be? (The bolts that the clutch spings are held on by)When I took the clutch cover off, the bolts were all the down. Is there supposed to be some room for it to move?

No, the bolts don't move at all and are only snug down to maybe (from what I remember) 9 ft lbs or so.

What I meant is is there supposed to be any room for that plate to move in and out? Because if they are tightened all the way down, the clutch won't disengage, or no?

You are probibly thinking of the "older" type motor cycle clutches where the tension on the springs can adjust the pressure on the clutch plates. The clutches on trikes work in a different way and the spring bolts should be snugged down.
