I went for a ride last night since the last ride, I put a 14 tooth front sprocket on, well it definately has more at the top end, it takes awhile to get there though, so off comes the 14 tooth and back to the 13, now what I need is a smaller rear, 38 or 36 maybe, but see no place on the net that sells one smaller than a 40?? WTF?? If anyone has one or knows where I can get one please let me know. I'll put the 14 tooth front at your door for $10 if interested. Thanks guys...... :beer

I know there is a mix of info in here, classifides, and trike related but more of the later, edit, split, or erase if you want.

Sidewinder Sprockets: (What I'm running on most of my stuff) 630-513-1000
Sidewinder is spendy as hell, but you can get the cheaper aluminum or normal steel sprockets at a decent price. They'll make em in whatever size you want too.

Sprocket Specialists: 1-800-782-8200

I've got some stuff from them before, but not anything custom. Try em out and leme know.

I feel your pain, lol. I switched to 20's on the rear of mine and it had no top end, i was just shifting all the time. I went with a sprocket specialties or whatever they are called 37T. I ordered it through my local bike shop. A buck a tooth if i remember right. It's aluminum, but it's all i could find. Holding up ok i guess, nowhere near as tough as steel. but it works.

Hmm Roosty, I have the 14 tooth on my 350x, It has been satisfying me through the trails and pick-up... I have that 13 tooth, but i've never even tried it, I'm gonna go throw it on and see what I'm missing.

Thanks guys...... very rare breed these rears are, other than the stock 40's.

Lots of Nothing: maybe my motor is more tired than some, I know it's hauling alot more weight than most, I'm 270, Let me know what you think after the switch, is your rear a 40 tooth?

452x: I am very interested, is it steel or aluminum? How much and where do i send the $???? THANK YOU!!!!

Thanks again guys, Billy I looked on the SS site, and they are pricey, but there, so if worse comes to worse. Thanks again. :beer

Just got in from the first run with 13/40 roosty, it is noticably quicker, not as much topend. but I like it, I think im gonna keep that 13 on there. I have to shift alot faster, but thats no problem to me. I Know my motor is getting tired, its gonna need rings sometime this year.

i put 20" tires on the back of my 350X, and I went to a 14 on the front. I think it is just about right.

Lots, I am also going back, just dropping down a few teeth in the rear, it is quite a noticable change when you do it in the front, guess we'll see when the 38 rear gets here.

452x, thank you, your money is sent, please let me know what method your going to use, and when you are going to ship. Thanks again. :beer
