i have 2 atc 250r`s...an `85 and an `86....the `86 has been blown up for many years now and i intend to use it for spare parts as i just recently aquired the `85....the rear bearings on the `85 have some play in them, and the previous owner installed the rear brake caliper off of a suzuki GSXR750 for some stupid reason....it limits the degree that the bearing carrier will rotate for chain tensioning purposes......i`d like to replace the bearing carrier and axle assembly with those off my `86,as the bearings in it are good, the rear caliper assembly is in good working order, and it has the correct sprocket on it(the one on the `85 is off who knows what and is incorrect)....my problem is that i don`t want to use the `86 swingarm because it was extended by a previous owner, and i prefer the stock length swingarm like the `85 has on it.......does anyone know if the bearing carrier off the `86 will fit the `85 swingarm?

thanks for any info

85 atc 250r is a one year machine ,,, the carrier won't fit into a 86,, the bearings are the same ,the caliper is the same but mounting is different,,, i would just buy a set of bearings and change them,,,, them you won't have a bunch of spare parts layin around,,,,,,

Swap the whole rear end into the 85. Use the swinger and everything from the 86 and and it should work.
