85' yami tri moto 125

ok this guy called me up askin if i wanted to put new rings on his tri moto...he said hed pay me....my ? is..how much money will it take to do that..i know at least the rings and gaskets will be about 50 bucks....he said he doesnt have the money yet for me to do it if i am going to...then he came back and said if i had 350 bucks i could have it...i asked how it looks and he said for an 85 it looks dam good...so im hopin it does...anyway...should i buy it for 350 when i get the money or rebuild it for a fellow triker...he said its a 2 stroke...im not to good with 2 strokes yet...rebuild and get paid or get paid and buy it?

2 strokes are cake, just make sure the piston is in right (pins towards the intake) and that the ring end gaps are lind up with the pins in the piston when it go's in and your good to go, not much too it ;),
