hey well, i got a few sponsers together, and have found my way into gettin my R ready for drag racing, iam working my butt off this summer to turn it into a monster, iam also going to do the unbelieveable, and make it so i can run 110 and 91 octane, 110 for racing a 91 for duneing!!! yes, iam going to build a bike thats serious in a straight line and great for duning also, i already have a ESR cr igntion, and carb and smaller peices like that on its way. heres the thing iam wondering about... i have a place that can get 65 horses out of a esr 310 kit with their port and head. but it becomes a grenade... or i can go 330, i have a freind who has a 330 in a atc frame on alky that runs consistant 4.15 in in the 300 ft drags. now his bike isnt a all around the powers like a off and on switch... so my man question is i would like to run a 330 cause for all out horses they are more reliable. but 310's revv faster and you cant afford any lagg in 300 ft drags or your toast. My question is.. Anyone with a 310 or 330 talk about it and let me hear your experience with it.... also anyone with a TRX9 or 11 port... speak up. my plans are +5 swinger.. 40.5 Keinin carb. V-force Reeds, 110 octane for racing, Cr ignition... 13, 42 gears with 21 inch 10 paddle taller haullers.

Honda's don't like V-Force ..No Top-End Power !! 40.5 from CT Racing ? or ESR ? ...Gearing ...15-40 ....22-11-10 Paddle Hauler's ..If your Motor is Ready for 110 or 115 Octain...it can't use "Pump Gas" ...Nothing Against what you said about the Horses in the 330 But....Going that Fast ... "not last long" ...MUCH Maint. on the Motor... the "250" Crank can't keep up ...unlees "they" got's LOT'S of Money and Time !!
72MM Piston ...295 Trinity or 310 CT
76MM Piston ... 330 CT Bore
78 MMpiston... 350 CT Bore
Adam..... Go with the 310 Kit ... it's Cheaper and with the "Right" Builder ...It will Outlast and outrun ALL of the 330's and 350 TRX and ATC's ...Trust Me ...
Iv'e got them in 300 foot with a "87" Cyl. on an "85" ATC with 4" Stretch ..
HEAD'S UP !!! ( on Gasoline ) 40.5 PWK CT Carb. 15-38 Gearing w/Dune Runner's !! HOLLARRRRRRRRRRRRR

go with a 310 pv, I have one and love it, the bike abolutley rips, I have cr reeds, cr igntion, 38 a/s, esr pipe, and other parts for mx. I got my pv topend from lrd. Just a word of caution, esr is currently at a 2-3 month wait on top-ends. my friend ordered a 310, cr ingition, and some other stuff and still waiting.....a month later.

yah Ct is on back order. ESR tho has 310's in. i heard that when i called them about 310's.. i think iam going to go ESR 310 with a trx 9 or 11 port job.... how does esr do on ports??? also i dont want a PV they cut back on the top end, and arent great for PURE top-end, i think 310 with TRX11 or 9 port job, Paul turner High rev pipe (in frame) or a shear pipe (out of frame). either way its either a flat side 39mm carb or 40.5 for top-end, i was also lookin at pyramid reeds, or a ported cr250 reedvalve with boyseen CF reeds. It should be a quick R, also you can run 110 and 91 cause esr provides two domes for the head. As long as i dont run leaded fuel i can get away with it..... i think i ll do good... i checked the "rules" and the place i would race would stick me in the 250-310 class, where the 330-370 class is the next one.. i think i should do ok... either way it should be a fast R.

I was less than happy with the porting on my esr330, it wasn't the same on both sides. I'm told esr does a "generic" porting, nothing real crazy, the port work on my lrd top end is far better.

http://www.lrdperformance.com/, they do cost more than esr for their top ends, also the type of cylinder head esr uses requires you to grind the bar over the top end abit,or if you have a 86 frame its alot better of a fit. the lrd top end I have has the saprk plug similar to how it is stock, abit off center and at the angle(easy to get to). thats one of the things I like the most about it, I always hated how the spark plug was on my esr330.

hmmm.... is your 330 the bolt in one no case machining, cause those are longer, the 310 is shorter and is designed for the short rod motor.

yea, its the one designed for the long rod motor, it requires the 87-89 250r rod and special spacer plate. I have it up for sale also, I didn't repost it because I got sick of all the dumb emails about "why does this kit require a long rod motor", "can you sell me your long rod motor", "can it be made to work with a short rod motor". I want 500 for it, you will need to buy a psiton for it and I have new gaskets, and o-rings that go with it. Doesn't inlcude the long studs or collars.

Oh ESR is on backorder for the 310 cylinders right now! I called them on Thursday and my top end is on hold for that right now. He said that they have been on backorder from the manufacturer for several months now. I hope they get in soon. I ordered mine with TRX 9 port and set to run on 91 octane or better. I gave him what I am runnng with it to set it up right.

also ridered250r, if/when you call lrd about the clyinder ask them about pipes for trikes, last time I called the guy told me he got a few phone calls about them, but not enough to get the attention of the guys who make the pipes, they used to sell a pipe for a tri-z, 81-82r, 83-84r and 85-86r AND THEY STILL HAVE THE MOLDS.
