well..im still not getting any spark...im starting to lean toward the cdi box...the stator reads 285 and the book says it should read at least 275 so its good.....i just got a new (used) coil for it from ebay and its on its way here..if thats not it..its gotta be the cdi...i am also getting my 200x carb monday finally...i found someone that had one on his minibike! a 5hp engine and he said the carb mounted right up to it so he used it..im giving a 185 carb and throttle linkage and 20 bucks for the carb...i already have a rebuild kit so thats not a problem..he says it runs really good too...so ill finally have a carb..and i got my 200x cam in there finally...insterad of the 185 cam...so it should be runnin like a top in no time when i find out whats wrong with it...i still need to get a pipe for it tho...the stocker isnt good with a 12:1 piston...but it wourks pretty good so far...its on its way to bein done but i still cant figure out why its getting no spark..and today when i put the engine back on the frame...it was hard to kick over..even with out a spark plug...the cam chain, tensioner, and guide are all brand new..so that may be why..it was pretty hard to get the tensioner on that bolt...so that may be it..im not sure but it was pretty hard to get on..i may go back to a 12 tooth front prety soon too so it can have that certain "power" it once did....poppin wheelies in 3rd and 4th! anyway..i still cant figure it out and i need some help...any suggestions?

Make sure that the coil has good contact with the frame on the mounts of the coil. Also make sure that the wires that goto earth from the CDI unit have good earth as well. Try it with the kill switch disconnected just in case its the cause.

What are the chances of you bringing the machine to me to fix? I could figure this thing out in no time at all ( lots of spare parts ). My zip code is 45822.

howdy: its not very likely to happen...im 16 w/o a license and my parents and bro dont have time to go anywhere...which is y i doubt im going to trikefest but i may find a way...i seriously doubt i can go up there..i would cause i know * can fix it..i think its just the cdi box...i fixed y it was hard to kick over...the cam chain was rubbing on the tensioner really hard cause it was all the way tight...and its all brand new stuff so it shouldnt be like that but i didnt know...so thats fixed..its in time..its either the stator or cdi box..and im pretty sure it isnt the stator..is there anyway to test a cdi box??
haggle: all the wires are connected and grounded properly..i checked it all..i took all the factory coating off the wires and check it all..then after i found out it was fine i re-taped it all back together....its not wiring..the coil is grounded right...i even changed it to make sure...the cdi box im prety sure is the problem...i have changed it but i dunno if the other one was even good...and it came off a 200m so i dunno if it would have worked anyway...
my ? is ..is there any way to test the cdi box?
