Hey guys,

Just got myself an old yamaha ytm 200(I think) and was wondering if anyone could help me out with finding out how to tell what model and year it is.

Engine & frame number is a 24W-102830

The bloke that I baught it off said it was a 1984 Yamaha YTM 200, but he wasn't really sure...

Does anyone have a service manual for this trike? Going to be restoring it and need a manual, or somthing similar. Pictures would help also.

Any help would be much appretiated!

Cheers.

Is it shaft drive, electric start then? Looks from your vin to be a 1984 YTM200EL

YTM 200EK 24W-000101-100100
YTM 200EL 24W-100101-on

In 1985, the code changed to 52G for the YTM200ERN with reverse.

Yeppers..... :welcome: to the board! As far as manual goes, there are usually some on ebay. I'd suggest the Yam aha Factor Manual, and/or the Clymer Manual. I have both along with the owners manual for my 200ERN and 225DX/DR

Too many letters after the 200.can't they just have called them 201, 202 etc and kept it simple? Can someone send a picture (not electrical diagram...I hve one and it does not match) of the wiring from the seat to the atarter and associated relay? I have to match it by site to diagnose a no-start (from the starter button) although I have cleaned and checked the button. (I have no power from the brown wire down to the raer side but all connections seem fine). Thanks

Ooops. dislexic I am. Meant to say from seat to starter relay and battery area plus rear lights...Yoda teach me speak he did.
