Hi Guys
I was wondering if anyone has an 86 tri-z service manual for sale that shows how to tear/repair the bike. I tried my local yamaha dealer and they said it is no longer available from yamaha. Also , the yamaha dealer said they can't get a aftermarket manual as well. I checked on ebay but there is only a cd version but I would like a hard copy. I guess if I can't find a hard copy I ll have to try to pick up the cd version. If anyone know where I can get a 86 tri-z service manual please let know.
Thanks 350xman

Hi Guys
I am going to go to another yamaha dealer and see if they can get me one or not. I spent over half an hour at my dealer waiting for them to look it up and they final said they couldn't get it. There is another dealer about a hour away that I will call and if that doesn't work I am may have to ask one of you guys on the board to try get me one. I ll let you guys know in day or two.

Hi Guys
Does anyone know what the part # is for a 86 tri-z service manual. I phoned another yamaha dealer about the service manual and they still haven't got back to me. It seems these two dealers that I have been dealing with just want to sell me a new yzf450 or raptor and kinda of give me the brush off when I want to get parts for a 86tri-z. This second yamaha dealer told me they don't have any parts fish that go back past 88. I am not sure how they provide proper support for all yamaha owners?
Gasmask thanks for the offer but I would like to find a 86 tri-z manual before buying a 85.
Thanks 350xman.

Thanks 350xman.that cool...but the only difference between the 2 bike is the 86 has 6 speeds,a better front end suspension & the location of the coolant bottle...

yeah those are the differences, but hes looking for a manual so he will know all the small things about the different 6 speed tranny like tourqe specs and all the other little stuff you need to know when reasembling it. You wouldnt buy an 81 250r manual for an 85 250r, i mean come on, they only made it water cooled, its still a 250...
