I just installed a DG pipe on my 83 110. I am having trouble getting the carb adjusted. It starts easy, idles perfectly, but when I really lay into the throttle it wants to hesitate and die. If I gradulally give it gas it runs great.

What needs to be done to correct the hesitation? I have played with the needle position. It seems to help the hesitation when I raise the needle, but then it idles like crap. I have since moved it back to the middle position. Can someone help??????????

Sounds to me that your main-jet is too lean. Usually (but not always) when changing to an aftermarket pipe, you need to bump up at least one size on the carbs main-jet to compensate for better flow. I'm not sure what the stock size is on a 110 in your area of the country (I'm assuming you're more than 2500ft above sea-level from your signature), so see your local Honda dealer for the jet.

i'd move the clip back to where it ran better on hard throttle..

then re-adjust the idle and air/fuel for better idle.

Hey dude, is that DG pipe any good? I've been having trouble choosing between a DG pipe and a Cobra...
