Reverse Drive on Threewheeler???

Just got and olf three wheeler from my grandpa. It is a yamaha 225DX Shaft Drive. Its older than 92 but not sure how much older, could only be a year or so older. Anyways me and my dad remember a reverse but there isn't one. Does anyone know if there was a reverse and the reverse just went out. Thanks new to the website, never had an off road vehicle before, Lovin it.

I'm no expert but on my 250sx there is a red button on the clutch handle which you depress (while in neutral), and then pull the clutch, shift down and you've got reverse.

I don't know much about your Yamaha though.

As far as your 3 wheeler having reverse, the Yam 225DX didnt come with reverse, the Yam 225DR was the model that came with reverse. Now you could swap those parts to create a reserve trike on the DX, but it didnt come stock like that.

FYI: according to the info on the specs page, the 225DX were produced form 83-85.

You can put a hacked Suzuki QuadRunner 250 motor in there... go reverse in any of 5 gears!
