Since Yamaha was too lazy to figure out a 3 point mount system for air box, I did.
They only used 2 and thats why the rear one breaks right out of the plastic top. One lousy mount at the right rear to hold that whole thing on. No excuse what so ever.
1st I had to top rivet a plate at top where it ripped out and redrill a whole for the frame tab location.
Then I drilled a hole in exact alignment with the rear battery box mount. Put a rubber groment in like Honda would, used a longer bolt and ran a collar thru it so when I tightened it, it tightened against the collar rather then the plastic. This way it can have some give and will not crack.
The large spacer is just there to hide the threads. You can use a nut instead if so desire.
Solid as a rock now.
