250r clutch prob.

O.K. Here we go again with this #%^@# 85 250r. I am just about ready to set this thing on fire!!!!! The kickstarter was slipping, so tore into it. Got the kicker fixed. Now clutch will not disengage. Saw this on 86 200x just had to line up marks on pressure plate and inner basket, prob. solved. Not so on the r. Marks lined up. All plates in place, pressure plate lifter working,inner basket spins freely w/o pressure plate. Have adjusted cable to both extremes, even bent cable bracket for more pull. Looks like press. plate does not move out far enough to clear. Please help before I go nuts and possibly destroy a beautiful 250r. Thanks.

Never mind...I fixed it. No idea how. Cussed it a lot, took a break cussed it some more, took it apart again, put it back and it worked. Go figger.

SAME THING HAPPENED TO MY 81 250R, didnt work and after cussing at it and just fidling around it worked all of a sudden.

Funny, must be a R thing.
