i cant understand what you are saying. did you actually do it and lost power and want to know why? or are you thinking about doing it and want to know if you will lose power?

might be french, i think he said he did this and he did lose alot of power, and wants to know why. i think you probably lost power because its a bigger tire, it has to turn more.

I'm not sure if he did it, or might do it, but although 9" rims & tires are a bit heavier, as long as they are both 22" tires there shouldn't be much difference in power to the ground.

Did I lose much power doing this ???"
The answer is as freewheel3 said, your tires are now heavier, but you didn't lose any power.

you wont loose any power-so to speak, but you might notice it has a little less pull down low becuse of the bigger tires, more rotating mass, takes more to turn it :beer

I agree. The power loss from the tire change will not be noticable. What you might notice is going from worn out tires with not much tread to new tires with good tread will give you a lot more traction and grab. Will take a little getting used to.

He put on 1" wider rims and tires, not taller.
So no gearing changed, just weight.

uh no, they are taller rims. the last number is the rim size. the middle number is the tire width.

that 12 instead of 11 width will make it rub on the pipe..

Regardless, that still doesnt change the diameter of the tires he is using ----- 22"
