Yes...... the older ones (83-84) seem to have matching engine serial numbers with the frames. Look on page 16 of the Clymer manual....

83 DXK - 29*-000101-060100 84 DXL - 29*-060101-on
85 DXN - 29*-100101-on
85 DRN - 1EV-000101-on (reverse model)
86 DRS - 1NV-000101-on

Errrrr..... (* = the letter 'you") Can we PLEASE take the letters out of the "auto edit" function??

That would be the EXACT motor I'd need to fix that turd Holic sold me! (85 200ERN)hhahhahah It has reverse right? I'll trade you a 225DX bottom end for it? Or a complete 200EK motor? Let me know....

hey bruce thats the 1 i bought for 49.99 off e-bay and my guys picked it up no shipping the 29*-090074 is the same over all engine it seems but little bit differant running of the exhaust, shifter and such but looks to be able to bolt right in he he

29* is the 225DX motor.... the shift linkage and mainly the output area are different cause it goes in a different trike! hahahaa As far as motors, I got 2 of those regular 225's, a 200EK w/o reverse, and a 225DR with reverse. Would really like that 200ERN motor though! hahahaah
