pull start wont work and no spark?

I just bought a 1983 honda atc200 it ran fine for a few days and when i went to start it today i pulled once and it started right up but stalled then i went to do it again and the rope jamed. So i took it apart and inspected everything which looked to be ok, and i got it unstuck and put back together but now when i pull it theres nothing no spark or anything....could someone help me whith this?

tripple check the RUN switch.. check for gas.. remove plug.. stick it to wire.. touch to head and pull .. check for spark.. Choke ok ? Rast time you rode it ?

that should get you started. i specially hate it when i pull the o'l Run switch problem on myself.. LOL...

This may be a long shot but...
When the pullstarter jammed / quit working: Did the pullstarter come apart or some of the peices fall out of it? If it did there is a possability that a small part of it got in the flywheel and trashed your exciter coil. If the exciter coil gets trashed you will not have spark.

I had this happen to me on my tri moto i pulled the rope out of it and when i put it back together i put the rope in backwards and it had no spark i didn't notice it ti i knocked it ito gear and pulled it went back wards.,

I think i might have damamged the exciter coil when i was taking it apart actually, is that hard to change and how exspensive is a new one?
