I did search first, but I didn't find what I'm looking for.
This is my first time rebuilding forks (duh). I made two mistakes. First of all, I underestimated my enemy. Second, I didn't get OEM seals (should have searched prior to ordering seals).
Here's where I'm at: I started tearing down the forks. I have the caps off, the springs out, oil drained, and now I need to get the dust seals off. The oils seals I got didn't come with dust seals, but they seem in good shape, so I'll try to reuse them. Any tips or tricks. Clymers just says "remove dust seal and circlip." It mentions heating the slider around the oil seal. Like I said, I want to reuse the dust seals if at all possible, and I'm afraid heating the slider may damage the dust seal.
Tips, tricks, suggestions... all are welcome :p
