The black rubber molding on the top of each side of schroud, is that supposed to be glued on?

I'm missing one on my 225. ( Left side and having a hell of a time finding one ) I'm pretty sure they are just held between the shroud & tank by compression when you mount the shrouds. If there was any glue on mine, all signs of it are gone.

Awful small groove. I don't trust that at all. Yamaha should have made it insert into the plastic at a few places.

I'm going to put clear contact on it (the inside) so it holds.

If it is properly instaled it shouldn't come out.

How often do you do that?

If the trike is totally mud covered - every time for washing.

That's why so many up in that section are somehwat rusted and filthy. Some are just too lazy to take 5 -10 minutes at most and pull it off.

That's also why I like the rear fender to come off as a whole unit. I clean where you don't see also.

Mud gets up in those spots, holds the moisture in and before you know it parts start the good old rust process.
