View Full Version : Just tore into the Cagiva 200....

The motor was locked up. On the strength of Howdy's advise (thanks Howdy), I took the top end off before I tried to unlock it. The top end was not the prob. Everything looked good and the piston was not stuck to the cyl. The crank was locked up. The rod was stuck too. Started putting the wd-40 to it. Got the crank to move pretty good, but rod does not want to free up. Not using kick starter, using socket on flywheel bolt. What do you guys think? Keep soaking,or tear into bottom,or buy the 250 motor I found and put it on? The guy w/ 250 says gaskets,pistons,ect. are still in stock at Cagiva. Lets hear some ideas.

If the other one works better, then just use the one you tore apart for a parts engine. Just my thoughts.
