Thanks guys. I've put a lot of time into polishing as of now, and the parts are really coming together. The only parts that are done in the pics above are the 2 parts in the first pic, and the shock reservoir in the pic where I am holding it. Everything else is not up to my standards yet. :? The fork casting is about half done there. I have been working on getting the finished stripped off of a lot of other parts tonight, and I will be buffing a lot more tomorrow. I have a $2,300 digital camera at my disposal until December 2005, so I will be able to keep pics coming.
The frame shows the gussets that I welded in, and also the ground area where I welded the crack. The frame will be powdercoated ___. HAHA! Can't tell you guys everything! :-P
Al, I should be ready by spring break, which is in March, so TrikeFest is a GO! :D
I need someone to show me how to resize these 200kb pics down to a reasonable size. E-mail me at: chvyetr@purdue.edu
I have received 194 allen head black oxidize bolts in specific sizes to completely convert the whole trike to metric allen head. Most of them are the cylinderical head with the knurling on them. They look SWEET 8) with the polish aluminum background.
Will keep you posted.

The process began with an 8" sisal wheel on a large 3/4HP buffer. The sisal really removes paint and grooves well when used with a greaseless black compound. After that, buffing continues with a loose cotton buff and the same compound, then a brown greasy compund and a loose cotton buff finish it up and give it the brilliant color. Takes a little while to di it, but it looks great. I finished the forks today, and I have a special clear coat from Eastwood on the parts drying right now. All in all, I have spent about 12 hours in polishing, and all I have left is the engine sidecases. (They will take about that long together as well.
Also, I have just started prepping a piece of .250 aluminum sheet for machine work for a billet chain guard. The stocker is steel, and has to go. It is not for sale...yet.
