well today i recieved my pipe off of ebay. well the seller assured me that it had no cracks or holes. well it does. what is the best way to repair this. also what would be the best paint to use to paint it.

to fix a 200 head pipe that was broke in 2 we brazed it back together. i tried bbq black on a cobra and it burned off. i just bought some 1500 degree header paint today and will try it when i have time to have the pipe blasted.

Is there a place you can send pipes to and they get all the dings/dent out with dry ice or something along those lines???. Ive heard of a place that did this easily but never got the details.

where are the cracks and holes? if they are small enough you can get some one to weld it up with a tig welder.

well this is a highly modified stock pipe. it looks like someone along the way tried to add nuts on it to hold the stock gaurd. when they di they burneb through fon one of the welds. it is very small but i think the etal is burned real thin right there. i was thinking about filling it with duramix first and see what happens.

i would just take it to a muffler shop(car bike whatever) and see if they can weld it up, or a machine shop....

just have someone mig weld it, it takes a few minutes because it burns through once in a while, but if you just tack it a whole bunch it eventually fills in, make sure you wire feed and heat is way down...i made a little expansion chamber out of galvanized stove pipe for a 49cc scooter and i migged it, but it tok like 2 hours to make....

Thanks I was looking for someplace like this!!!. I have to check if they fill or pop the dings. Hopefully its a little cheaper for a few small dings.

Ive seen Piperepair.com's work, they did some vintage circle race bikes and the pies come out looking %100 original.
