I'm at the point with my SX that I don't feel I can go anywhere with it... what I mean is I cant think of any more cost effective modifications that can be done to it. Half the fun of having it has been making it into what I thought a "ultimate SX" would look like. Does anybody have any suggestions for it? (and I dont mean chroming the engine or adding nitrous)
Take a look (hi res pics) Thanks.

OH ****, I'm on freakin dail-up!!!!! LOL
To make your SX cooler, put a speedo so that the 250R brake line guide thingy doesn't look as wierd.
PRM six-pack rack.
Hondaline 250R front fender stabalizer/extension.
Have something put on the side of your seat, like '250SX-R' or 'ATC'.
Put a chrome grill on the headlight guard.
This is a long shot, but maybe a 350X tank so you could put some shrouds? Don't know how that would work with the forks tho.
And last but not least, I think I would get some chrome handle bars.
Oh, Tire flys and some LED lights underneath your trike.
I really can't think of anything else at this time, you allready have the best looking SX I've ever seen!

? first. Is that pipe ceramic coated? I like, I like and very nice 250. Looks really nice!
I saw one thing in the rear that you could improve on.
I always liked the tailights from the 250X's (other models have them too). It would fill the void more and the shape is just so much cooler then the typical rectanguler ones. I'm quite sure I'm putting one on my Yamaha 225 I like them so much. I like the sort of ovalness of them espeacially.
Make it look more modern, ya know. + it would just give it a much cleaner look instead of so much bracket showing.

Yes it is.

Sorry about the size of the pictures.
The speedo is something I'd like to do but they're nearly impossible to find (even on ebay)... the taillight, I agree it needs changed. Thanks for the ideas.

PRM grab bar.. but not the 6 pack.. flat bar on the sides with the round grap portion looks best IMO.
It's an SX.. it needs at least a rear rack... a nice one tho.. gotta keep the look going.
oh. and a ball hitch.. adds a few pounds.. but would give it the Ute feelin.
But man.. that is a NICE frickin SX.. i'm jealous beyond words.

Wow, thats very nice. The Hondaline front fender brace is an idea I agree with but the wheel spacers are not. Get some offset wheels to widen the stance but nothing too wide and for the front why not try and find some red fork/disc guards. Also like the PRM grab bar idea, six pack or standard bar, its a matter of preference. But man I don't really see any more you can do with it lol. You've knocked this one out for sure.

I think its time to start looking for another project, maybe a ES. That SX looks good, I would'nt clutter it up with anything else.

i woudl say factory 86 graphics, and a fender brace, it will look alot cleaner, but thats just my .02 cents.

Theres been a number of good ideas suggested... but I'm leaning towards starting a new project like BLAZERONE22 mentioned. I dont know about doing up an ES but I think a 350X with a new 400EX engine (with reverse) installed in it would be very cool. Hmmmmm, now I just need to figure out a way to finance it :beer thanks for the suggestions guys!

Theres a couple of more comsmetic things you could do to it - like the PRM grab-rail ... Personally - I think you should move on to another project if you are having those feelings about it - it looks great. Keep it of course, but due to the trikes limitations - get something you can really wrench on.

Get the regular PRM Grab bar Its hao and good. I see Rust on the Bottom of your Grabbar? He He. There is a Hondaline Fender Brace on E-Bay, I saw it like 2 days ago, it might still be on. If not they come around. Other than that your ride is SWEET. Here a pic of the grabbar

How you like my Right FootPeg? Man that crap is so Scary. I need angled Footpeg Extenders. Damn Powder Coater Found a Crack on the Footpeg mount on the Frame Welded it and It sagged. Shes a little twisted anyhow if you look at the grab bar but She rides Fast and Straight.

Tail light looks much better. Did it mount right on using stock set up? Looks that way but not sure?

Yes, its a stock 350X headlight, I saw a post once that said the magnetos on the 250R dont work well with 350X H/L. The SX seems to handle it well.
What kind of fork boots are those?
They're universals ($15/pr) from Dennis Kirk... I'd like OEM but Honda wants too much for 'em IMHO
Meat, the PRM Grab bar does look good... The peg looks a bit shaky
Tail light looks much better. Did it mount right on using stock set up? Looks that way but not sure?
Yeah, the grommets are TRX250R, just had to trim 'em a bit an drill a couple of holes in the grommets. The price was right (free).
Thanks

Heres a pic after a ride about a month ago.... this is typical. I dont mind getting it dirty I just wont let it stay dirty once the ride is over. ;)
By the way, I see from an earlier post you are the proud owner of an SX...
They are great trikes. Let us know if you have any questions :beer
