Parts for those aren't so rare Man. You'll be lucky to find a 200X front end for it (I'm not parting with mine LOL) in NZ. There's 3 or 4 wreckers in Taranaki alone that will have an axle for it. Plastics too probably. Brake pads etc you can get from econohonda.co.nz (Hamilton). eBay as another source. Freight ex US will bite you in the ass on something like an axle because of the weight and size.
BTW...welcome to the board. I check here quite often but don't post much. Nice to see another Kiwi here.

Hello New Zealanders ...
I got to spend 5 weeks over there back in 2001 .
I met a girl on a cruise and then I went to visit her for christmas and new year . While I was there I traveled all over the north island . Auckland,Hamilton,Taranga,The Coramandrel ?? Rotarua (stinky town )
Wellington, Mastertown,Napier then back to Hamilton.
New Zealand is a beautiful island and I hope to visit it again .
I was going to try to move there but it was going to be very hard to get a work permit . Lot's of regulations .. I don't blame you guy's for wanting to keep people from moving there .. It is Paradice ..
I think I took like 30 rolls of film.
Let's see what was the saying I kept hearing them say.
New Zealand has 3 million people and 10 million sheep .

Thanks Man....A couple of corrections for you. NZ has 2 main Islands (North and South) and 4 million people/60 million sheep. If you liked the North Island, you'd LOVE the South Island. More scenic, less people = fantastic. Think scenery from LOTR movies and you've got it in one.

Sorry about that I new there were 2 main Islands .
I knew the saying was something ike that ..
Lots of sheep .
I was told that car guy's were called Bogan's .
Does that apply to trike guy's also ?
While I was there I also went to a dragstrip near Hamilton.
It was cool to see race cars with the steering wheel on the other side .

Non car/bike enthusiasts call the people who are, 'bogans'. It's kind of a derogatory term really. Not that I care what people think but you know...
I don't think it would apply to trikers....more the custom car culture.
There really isn't many sports trikes in NZ. Used to be but they seem to be long gone. I can still remember brand new 250R's and 350X's on the showroom floors here. NZ was one of the countrys Japan offloaded all their surplus stock too when the US decided to no longer sell them. There are lots of 2nd hand big reds etc here that farmers sell to replace with quads but the people with sports trikes don't tend to part with them.
I'd love to own a 350X but I'd have to import one and that would be crazy $$.

l can help you with all the parts you need ok 200x front ends and all. There are quite a few so called "sports trikes" around for sale. You just need to "know " where to look ok... Ive found a running 85 250r in pretty decent shape lm haggling now for around $ 500 NZ. I also found a 86 250r with a 87 Cr 500 ( thats right CR 500 motor ) in auckland.. I hoping to ride it in a couple of weeks.. So please call me would love to help you out ok.. Ive been riding trikes since 1974 when my oldman in aussie brought me a Atc 70 so they are my passion..
Some people are addicted to pot, piss or P but me its gotta be trikes...

well tomorrows out for me as i got work:(-ill try have a fiddle round with it tonight and see if i can get it to spark
Aussieboy1
05-06-2005, 04:14 AM
You need to start from the coil under the tank see if the lead is in tight?? Or the spark plug could be shagged to check this put a small screw driver in the lead where it attachs to the spark plug and hold with" rubber handled pliers" to the motor and pull the pull starter and see if there is spark . Let me know how you go ok
Lance.
