The 20 year old tires are finally giving up, Yesterday a spot inbetween treads gave out, I plugged it up and put some slime in it, Held great for awhile. Went through some trails with a buddy of mine, and on the first rocky hillclimb it gave out, has about a 3-4 inch rip. Some of the rubber is dryrotted. Made it back to a friends house, and He let me borrow the only extra set of tires he had (18" hoosiers) to get it home.

Owell, I was looking for a good excuse to buy new shoes :D .

You need to head into the HONDA dealer and buy a set of these..... Were like $50 a piece last year.

That kind of thing happened to me on the Big Red last year, I went hrrough a puddle and didn't see that there was a BIG nail under the water. The tire went flat instantly. At first I was like 'what the heck??', but then reliesed what was going on.

holding air so far, just put 6 PSI in it, then let it out again, its drying overnight, LOL.. 6 plugs in it.

I dont really expect it to hold long.. Was just kind of a joke to see if it actually does hold and for how long.

I trick I tried with a flat with no way of fixing it on my moutain bike was to stuff the tire with as much grass and leaves as possible. I was able to limp back like this. I suppose this could work on an ATC so long as you have a big enough hole in the tire to shove stuff into. I saw in a 4x4 magazine where they fixed a huge gash in a sidewall by stitching it with wire and filling it with plugs.
