I know that most of the 2 stroke trikes come from the factory with a fuel/oil mix ratio of 20.1 but i was wondering that with the better type of oil today what would be the leanest ratio anyone would dare to try on a stock machine without burning down??? I know chainsaws run 50.1 and they turn alot more rpms then any trike.????

This is a "iffy" question you are asking, many people run 32:1 while others run 50:1, there are a lot of varibles about what mixture to use, climate, jetting, elevation. Then there is the debate about what type of oil to use, I swear on synthetic, while others may feel conventional oil works just as good. As myself I would reccomend to run it at 32:1, it is a good all around mixture.

I agree with you 84kxttecate, that is a good mix with the synthetic. I see someone on here that said they have seen people race with 16:1 mix. I wonder how it runs on this set up???I'd think you would foul plugs with this mix. Maybe not???

The only time I foul plugs is when I idle for long periods of time, I am sure you would foul plugs with 16:1 at an idle a lot easier, but on the slip side you know for sure your engine would have proper lubercation.
