It's a yellow 83. Real nice except for a few things.
The nice things are great plastic and nice original logos on the schrouds, perfect seat, great frame, bottom of frame fantastic also and overall it's just a REAL NICE PIECE!
You can tell it was not ridden hard its whole life BUT it is on it's way down hill!
What it does need are a few cables, a battery, and get this.......... a header pipe  and he's driving it without one but just in yard but still this can't be good at all! I imagine it's running quite lean???
Front tire, that is a typical cheapo knobby, is brand new. The rears have great meat but MUST be replaced anyway as they are 25" ers!! Looks really hideous on it.
Little minor things here and there but overall can be made to look edog quality without spending a whole lot.
He paid 400 for it and I'm hoping to get it for 3-350 if there is any $$ left on my $$ tree out back.
Anyone interested if I don't take it? MX 600 gets 1st dibs on it though and if he doesn't want it one of you might?
Hopefully he will be home tomorrow and I can take some real good pictures of it.
Funny, he calls it his beater machine (has a Honda 400 4 wheeler) and I looked at and would say it is a great find and in no way even close to rating it that low.
This is close to Allentown, PA where it is. Maucungie, PA to be exact.

You gonna buy it for me in exchange for making your brackets? Let's make a deal!

Come on man! Keep the 25"s on it! :D Believe it or not, but the front is a 22" and the rears are 25"s on my Yamahauler! :naughty: That's "theolderfox" in the pics....
So it sounds like it's in better shape than my 225DX when I bought it? (second 3 pics)
If MX600 doesn't want it, I guess I could take another trike under my wing.... then I'll have 2 350X's, 2 82-250R's (well one'll be a 300R), 2 YTM200ERN's, and 2- 225DX's! I'm sure we can "make a deal" one way or another!

What is the story on the foot guard or floor boards or what ever they are?

Yamaha Factory Assessory ...from what I can find... Only seen 1 other one with them. I emailed the guy, he said he was the original owner, and they were on it form the dealer.
I know Yamaha made hand brush guards for sure... cause I got a couple sets of thos in the OEM box w/instructions.

I have few in the box as well. Yamaha still offers them. Those foot gaurd though have me in a cold sweat. Can you get some close up shots of them? I want to check with my Yamaha connection and see if he can get me a set.

Don't keep the 25's. That thing looks horable with 25's.

Wait til I put it all back together... It'll look like a lil modified pulling tractor! :Bounce Actually, the 200ERN's came stock with 25"s.... the front has that tire size on it, cause the forks were bent backwards when I bought it. The guy put the small tire on it so the tire would clear the motor and brush guards.
Lonesome.... I'll try to get some pics this weekend.... as long as if you can help me get another set too! :naughty: You'd think there'd be a Yamaha Parts manual somewhere that had all these Assessory part numbers... TRIZTUNES??? :wondering

Just my taste but any time I see a small trike with huge tires on R, 1st thought is UGGGGGGGLLLLLLLLYYY!
You might as well take the shock off and weld the suspension solid because I doubt you have any travel left!
OOps, I see their on the 200.
Why people do that, I just don't know. I guess some think it looks cool?
It's got to be harder on the 225 shaft drive components. No-yes?
Hey 350X you sort of look like me! Same size (6' & 190lbs?) and all so your wheelers will be set up just right for me when I come up :D :

That'd not be me in the pics....
ummm... and there are two different trikes in the pics..... the first 3 are the Yamahauler, and the last 3 are the 225DX.... actually, from your starting pics for your BB, mine doesn't look too far off!
I'll start a new thread about those brushguards Lonesome.... big tires and big gaurds don't seem welcome in this thread....
