Becuase it is a unreliable set up, sure you may not have had a probelm, but I hear a lot of people with balsters do, if it stops injecting oil you wont know untill its too late, that is why they made you do your own premix. Which I think it is a better idea anyways. They also make oil injector block of kits for the blaster, which tells me it has been a probelm before.

ya, i guess thats true, i guess ive been pretty lucky with my sled then not having it stop sending oil.

My theory is that high performance 2 strokes are just that, high performance and typically, high performance bikes are used for racing and wherever you can save weight, you do. The technology was there but they wanted them as light as possible, which is also why they didn't have electric starters, batteries, etc. Less weight = more power.

I bet some place like ESR could make a trick billet injection system. If they made it out of aluminum, it would be light weight too!

I had a honda scooter with oil injection, and the little #@$%^# would fill the carb with oil, i just always mixed it after that.

Exactly, plus if your pre-mixing you can be a lot more confident in your mix ratio.

I bet they didnt do it becaues there dumb. In all the jetskis ive had the injectors have gone out on them. Blasters constantly go out. And with premix you get to pick your ratio, you have complete control of how much oil is going into the engine.

weight.. and i wonder if having to use the power from the engine to power the pump etc.. with extra components.... might be a power thief...

Oil injectors tend to over oil. Better to be a little more lubed up than dry and seize an engine. But that's not going to give you the highest performance.
I disabled the oil injection on my PW80 because it was over oiling. My wife rides the bike and doesn't know how to clean it out if it loads up, so I premix to adjust the ratio just right for her riding style.
