atc500 questions

What engines do people use on a "atc500r" ? arent they a 350x frame? I know there is one or two of them on here but i couldnt find what i was looking for. Do the engines bolt right in?(lol i doubt it). I've been wanting a 350x but havent had the cash for one, but i do have an 82 xr500 dirtbike that i was going to fix and then sell with hopes of getting a 350x. So if this is the engine that people use then i might just sell parts off of the bike i dont need and buy a 350x roller. :naughty:

sounds liek a great idea, but the 500r you are referign to is a cr500 2 stroek motor in a 250r chasis, btu the xl500 in the 350x has been done btu its a really tight fit.
