For Yamaha 225
Man, I was surprised at the weight variation between new vipers that I got and the old stock 225 tires. (22X11X8 - both tires)
19.4 (they tell you 15) for the Vipers and 11.4 for the stockers. Thats almost like carrying around a 3rd tire when you add the 2 Vipes together! I weighed just them on digital scale and then me holding them and got the same results.
Since my stockers were well worn I guess you could add a lb or 2 for the tread loss but still had no idea they (the Vipes) would weigh that much more.
On the + side the vipes are a good 1/2 - 3/4" wider so you gain a bit wider tracking which is nice and come to think of it that is where some of the weight comes from too.
Then some go and put larger tires yet on these little machines!
I like that they seem smack in the middle of a donut and flatter profile tire - a good compromise. A bit more leaning toward a donut though.
Just "Thought I'd let you know".
