I think you mean the zinc plating?? Those parts are electroplated with zinc to keep them from rusting.

Yeah but the zinc does not last. Has to be a better way to plate them to get close to the look but more durability.

I always thought it was cadmium. Isn't zinc silver?

Where would you & I go to do that?

Is that very expensive? My axle is almost like brand new yet and the gold looks great but just a smidgen faded I think.

There are plenty of numerous other parts I'd eventually want done too .

any plating shop...just look up 'Plating' in the yellow pages
