Well, I was about to re-jet my air cooler, and I decided to go for a quick ride before I would jet it, and you know: just to get the juices flowin :p .

Well, I was haulin pretty good (around 40) and I went to use my rear braks. I stepped on them a little and they froze up on me. The brakes are not in the original location (at least the "stabilizer" bar that bolts to them is gone. It has a custom mount that worked fine though. I believe they are original too...not the pads though) Any ways, they were working fine, and WHAM!!! locked up, and I had to pry them off. I have always performed the regualr check ups on them, and never had a problem. Now the piston is froze.

I would like to do a neat custom job on them so I am wondering what kinda brakes will fit (I know the 84R will, and I believe I was told the 200x will too?? but Im not sure and dont know what year(s)) Can Ibasically use almost any master cylinder off of a quad that is similar in set up and rotor width or what??

Any knowlegde will help a ton! ATTN: 350XinNY (SP??) is it you or KINTORE that said they had a custom application that will for the 83r? If it is either one of you 2 and you are willing to possibly sell them please let me know :beer

You can use just about any master cylinder from any ATV, Dirtbike, or Streetbike. Just match up the fittings and go.

Ok ATC crazy: Do you know of anything that will hook up relatively easy, but still have a nice selection of pads? Also, on most master cyilnders do the have a set up like the 83R's hose fitting? I mean is the hose held to the cylinder via that bolt that goes through the round fitting?

secondly.....can I use the stock braker "pumper" IDK what it is called, but it bolts to the frame on the kickstarter side. The brake lever linkage is also connected to it, and I believe that is where the hydraulic force is intinally started.

350x'inNY..would you possibly willing to part with em?

thanks all!
