I just picked up this atc 200 ,the guy said it had,nt been run in 2 years so I got it home put on another carb ,new fuel lines and added some oil ,gas ,and a new plug.With in three pulls she started rite up ,no smoke ,idled good,and the timing is on the money.Now,the thing is it sounds like the cam -timing chain is loose so I adjusted it on the top of the case [under the carb] and it still clatters.What do you guys think,the chain is streched and I have no adjustment left or what? I am gonna change the oil it looks like crude oil ,solid black and as thick ,maybe the sump or screen is plugged? The thing that gets me is that the noise is based on the cam side but the timing is rite on so I know it did'nt jump time.Give me some help before I rip it down ,if I don't have too! I would appreciate any suggestions or comments.
