today was my frist ride on the 310pv, and wow this thing rips!!!! with a +1 swingarm it almost throws me off the bike(at first), I think I have found enough power for awhile. the first 6 laps I was shaking after riding it wfo. Now I've gotten used to it, but still THIS THING RIPS. I got some comments about the bike and two guys told me "wow, that thing must be sick to ride, I saw it nearly throw you off a few times and you can ride that trike very well". I can say lrd did a awesome job with this top end and it was worth every penny of 2g's. It is still running a bit rich, but I'll leave it that way.
On a sad note today I saw two kids get taken away in ambulances, both of them flipped and one reportitly hasn't able to feel his toes. I saw another kid almost get landed on top off(the father wasn't riding with him, and he moved into the left lane and there is a jump there, the kid just went over the jump(going real slow) and a quad rider was coming up real fast and didn't see the kid, a bunch of guys screamed and the guy relized that something was over the other side and he slowed a moved to the right). After that I proceded to the office and told the office about what happened and they got the kid off the track and reamed the kids father a new one. there also was a accident there before I arrived, also a kid, and he left in a ambulance. FATHERS AND MOTHERS, WATCH YOUR KIDS WHEN THEY RIDE, the kid that couldn't feel his toes was 8 years old, so sad to see stuff like that.

Where is this track. Ive been to englishtown for the drag races before. i'm not that far away. I'd love to see a track with three wheelers busting around it.

Dammit!

Need more details! Describe the power delivery. Did the pv give you a lot more low end and mids or is still real top heavy like most ported R engines?
I gotta have something around here I can sell for 2g's... I know! My 250R! Wait... that wouldn't work.

crazy low end and mid, its not very much of a top end motor, but also thats how I ordered it for mx, low to mid. I'm doing mx so it has what I want, as most woods and mx guys want low to mid. I also have my gearing for mx 14/38. My 330 kit is all low and mid with slow revs, my stock ported top end is all mid and top. I wonder if you are aware that 86/87 roll pegs will fit on your bike, I see that you have stock pegs. I'm sure you can order it for mid and top as I see you do sand and desert riding.

Roll pegs? Never heard of them.
I want something with screaming top end but good lows and mids too. I figured a PV top end could provide that to some degree.
You planning on getting your trike on a dyno?

no, no dyno for me. Roll design sells them, also IMS. here is a link to a pic of them.

so how does the new pv compair to the 330 kit? how does the power band feal now with the pv kit?

for one the 310pv actaully revs fast and runs cooler. it hard to compare the two, the 330 was a torque monster and the 310pv is less torque and more power. Its hard to descibe.

so does the 310pv feal faster?

without a doubt it feels faster, I had the stock swingarm with the 330 and with a +1 the 310pv comes close to throwing me off the bike, if it hooks up right and I'm not a small person, I weigh 180. the 330 never came close to that, simply because it didn't rev as fast..

where did you order the lrd kit from? and did you have to do any machine work to your case or have to get a longer rod or anything like you did with the 330 kit? and you aso said lrd made it nice and acsessable to the spark plug are the esr kits a pain to get to the plug to change them and what not

Not to jump off the topic but I guess the 86' 200x pegs are not the same as the 85'? I know Honda pretty much changed everything (for the better) in the later 200x models. Anyone know?

they look almost the same, the roll design pegs are just the pegs aren't they? shouldn't they fit in the same mounts? those ones on the R look like they could be persuaded to fit an 83-85 200x
