1984 honda atc 250r

i have just recently found a 84 honda 250r that has a new weseco piston and rings, and it runs perfect all the brakes work, headlight works but has no taill light and rear grab bar, the rear fender is cracked right behind the seat he said it happened when he rolled it down a hill, has new douglas rims but the tirs only have about 1/2 tread left, the tank has no dents in it. the guy wants $600 for it.is this a good deal or what?

its a steal, they still sell for like 900-1000 in good condition, go ahead and get it, you wont be sorry

i know its a steal i just wanted some other peoples opinions, and i forgot to mention that the suspention works great, the guy is saving it for me until i can come up with the 600 to get it.

Sounds like a steal - but - if it rolled hard enough to smash up the grab rail that bad, I would just double check to see that the tail piece of the frame isn't bent as well. I would also take another look at the forks as well as take it for a spin and feel for any pulling or wobble in the front end. Other than that, I think its great hes holding it for you.

i have already taken it for a spin and it handles like a sportscar, drives staright as an arrow i mean you can be going down the road and take both hands of the handlebars and it doesnt even wobble,shake,shimmie,pull, its straight as an arrow.
