Took my 85 R out for the first spring ride.
The base gasket at the bottom of the cylinder has a leak.
Do I have to pull the hole engine out to take the cylinder off to replace this gasket?

No, you can do it with it in the bike.

If im not mistaken all you will have to remove to get the cylinder off is the head( and the cylinder bolts of course lol), if the head is still on the cylinder it will hit the frame before you clear the piston. Hope this helps.
