How close are 250R rear fenders to fitting a 200X?

Has anyone tried to put 85-86 250R rear fenders on an 83-85 200X? I know the front fender mounts right up and looks good but how close is the rear fender? I found a nice used fender set of Maier plastic for a 250R and I like the looks of the 250R rear fender but my 200X is not near me or complete enough to test fit them.

Hmmm..... I got a couple 200X frames here.... and a set of the 85-86R "low profile" rear fenders... (cracked) ... too bad I didn't have a set of 200X mounting brackets or a seat. Could your brother grab them before he comes out to the farm tomorrow? Ideas? Guess I could send those fenders back with him? Let me know your thoughts....

He doesn't have a tank or seat at his house, I have ones but they are my parent’s house. I want to know if they are close to fitting and matching up with the tank. If no one knows then I will end up fitting some one over the summer and just hope that the set that I want to get are still there when I go back to school at the end of the summer.

not that it matters but I seen a 200x on ebay (acouple months ago)that had 400ex fenders on the back of it. Looked kinda weird.

I was planning on tossing the trike in the back of my truck this summer and going over to this guys house who parts machines. He has tons of plastic and has said before to bring my machines in and test fit some fenders for it. I just saw some 250R fenders and wondered if they would fit, lets just say they are "a little different then stock :D "

My friend has a 200x with R rear fenders on it but i don't know what he had to do to make them fit or it they just went right on with no problem.

twgranger, does your friends renders look like they fit the bike ok? I am expecting to do a little modification work but that is ok as long as it looks good in the end. I mainly want to know if they fit on the trike and if they line up with the tank ok.

If i remember right i think their is alittle gap by the tank :wondering Im not positive though.
